Marlene Walters       Fine Silver Jewelry Design

CV/Bio

Art has always been my major interest. I have a bachelor's degree in art from Mills College where I focused on painting and ultimately showed work in graphic design as my senior exhibition. While at Mills, I worked in the museum and gallery in a number of capacities. I also had several internships before graduation, including poster/graphic design and exhibition/graphic design. Working for the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco was a great pleasure, bringing together many of my interests.

My work experience has included corporate identity design, advertising design, brochure design, technical illustration, product design & illustration, map design and environmental design. I have also worked in the field of surface/ textile design.

Currently, my many and varied experiences in art inform my newest work in the design/fabrication of silver jewelry and in oil painting. During the summer, I teach art to children of all ages.
